April is here and so is spring even when I hate my allergies it's a special month, my moms b-day and she is finally home just for a month but I am super happy that I got to see her, she's had some health issues and has been in Mexico City for her treatments but she got here yesterday so we are happy! My boys are growing!!! can they just take it easy??? I want to have them little for longer but oh well nothing I can do, I guess enjoy every stage of their life! Nachito on crazy hat day, I didn't get creative, can you tell??

WE finally got our Christmas tree, Nachito was asking for one but for some reason we just didn't go get one, so he is the happiest now with his Christmas tree, both of my boys helped decorated but I had to do some arrangements once they went back to their room to play.

My boys had thier first time at the movies last week and they loved it!!! we saw despicable me an awsome movie!
We also went to downtown disney there are some pictures of it, and as I was posting this I realize I didn't put anything on our trip to disney so I have something to post in a few days!!

We have been in Savannah Gerogia for almost 3 weeks now and are sure having a good time, the most important of all is that we are together, my hubby is here on a training and we are glad that we got to come honestly not for the "vacation" as Nachito calls it but because it's just hard to be apart, so we will be here for a total of 10 weeks we have 8 to go :D

It´s been a while!

I have become really bad at updateing the blog, and it´s been 3 months since the last time so many things to say! we had great holidays, this past Christmas was so exciting to see my boys actually enjoy everything: the tree, presents, family etc.
Fernando is starting to talk or let me refrase that I´m starting to understand him :D he pretty much can say what he wants and I am so happy for that now I´m not guessing anymore he enjoys playing with his brother they spend hours and hours and I love to listen to the laughs and specially if one of them gets hurt and cries the other hug and kiss him so cute!
Nachito has been doing good in school he had a Christmas festival his class performed the jingle bell rock song all dressed up as reinder he was the little star at that age kids get shy but he was swinging so funny, he also had surgery last week something I don´t want to go through again.

Last sunday Nacho went to Savannah, Ga. from work, and will be there for 2 months!!!! yes it´s a long time and I miss him like crazy and I am sure the boys do too, it´s only been two days and I feel it´s been longer than that, but I am hoping Sunday gets here so I can say it´s one week less :)

Nachito´s first day of preeschool!!

Today was Nachito´s first day of preeschool, he was really excited, he just had orientation class today with his parents, couple of months ago he said he didn´t want to go so I thought he was going to cry, but then I took him twice to pick up stuff and he was intrested, then I drove by this vacation period and he got all interested in school, we got up took a shower and got him all dressed in his uniform, he felt special, we took some pictures here at home before we took off, little Fer got to go with his grandparents so mom and dad could have all the time just for the special boy, we worked with him and then stayed for a little while on the playground, during the whole time I was feeling a little sad but just to realize that my boy is growing!!! Nachito is 3!!

Nachito had his 3rd birthday party last saturday the theme was cars it´s been his favorite for a while, he had a lot of fun and ate candy and drank as much pop as he could, not that I agree with this but he had it all right there, I am so happy that my big boy had fun and very grateful for this wonderful boy Heavenly Father sent me I love my Nachito.

Family trip!

Couple of weeks ago we had a family trip to Disneyland, we spent 2 days on both parks and we sure had a blast there, the boys specially Nachito was so exited to see Mickey, and all those personages that he watch in his movies, Fernando had fun too more than I thought, the plan was to take the kids back to the hotel to rest and to take a nap at lunch time but it wasn´t necessary, they did just fine, mom and dad enjoyed the trip just by seeing the kids all happy, here are some pictures.

We had a lot of fun we took this trip to celebrate both of our kids birthdays they have their b-day on the 8th of June Fernando and 8th of July Nachito so we all enjoyed the trip.

Today is Fernando´s 1st birthday, time sure goes by fast, little Fernando came to complement our family he´s been a blessing in our lives, Nachito loves and cares for his brother and I love to see how they play together, laugh and even argue for toys, mom and dad have enjoyed life even more with this sweet little boy, he is 21 pounds 10 ounces (10kg) and 29.3 inch (24.5cm)tall, he loves to eat anything mom feeds him :) I can say that his favorite show is Mickey´s club house and his favorite toys are cars any type specially his brother´s, he doesn´t say much I guess he will be a little slow on this and he is taking up to 4 steps on his own he moves faster by crawling so after a few steps he figures it will take him longer walking so he gets on his knees and crawl.
I am very grateful for the opportunity I have to be a mother of two wonderful boys and for my best friend that happens to be an excelent father, life is great!!

It´s been almost a month since my last post and let me just say that I´ve been a little lazy on this :) but here are some pictures of the family.

Lately when I say "picture" Fernando makes this funny face.

Here he is again.

Nachito plays all day and he loves his guitar so couple of days ago I found him sitting by the window and just singing on what was he seeing, when he does this it´s just so funny.

Big boy and mom, he is so loving and likes to kiss and hugh mom all the time, he does it with his brother too but Fernando doesn´t like it as much as I do.

My mother´s day

I had a great mother´s day, let me say that I am grateful for the opportunity of being a mom of two beautiful boys, and I am also grateful for the mother I have, she is such a great example to me and i hope I can get to be as good mom as she is.

Celebration started on Saturday we went out for lunch and then to the mall, this was the first time they had a train inside the mall and let me mention that Nachito and grandpa made rich this train guy they rode on it 6 times and one more with mom and Fernando, the good part of this was that Nacho and I got to see and try on thing with no Nachito running around and asking to go pee every 5 minutes, so it was a good shopping day.

On Sunday the Padillas came to our home we had a potluck with 8 kids running around and being as loud as they usually are, but I have to say that we enjoy that in our reunions, for some reason I forgot to take pictures, shame on me!

It´s funny when we meet with the Fongs we are a total of 5 adults and 2 kids and with the Padillas we are a total of 10 adults and 8 kids, so it´s always louder on my side.

Last week we had a little accident, I woke up feeling sick really sick I have low blood preasure and Nacho stayed for couple of hours while I felt a little better so my dad came to help with the kids and later on my mom came and told me to go to her house so she could take care of all of us there but my in-laws called and said they were coming to help as well so I stayed and my parents took Nachito with them, like 30 mins after they left Little Fernando and I were playing and he was crawling around the room I don’t know where he took a pencil from that I didn’t noticed so he fell down with the pencil in his mouth and cut pretty bad, at first I didn’t know how bad it was but after seeing the bleeding I knew I had to run to the doctor, so I was about to go when Nacho called he noticed something was wrong and told me to wait for him I wasn’t feeling well as i mentioned and it wasn´t a good idea that I drove so he was here in minutes and we went to see the pediatrician she told us to go to the ear, nose and throat doctor by this time I was pretty scared so this dr. told us to go to the hospital that he was going to meet us there because Fernando needed to have surgery, the pencil cut was pretty deep and was still bleeding so we went to the hospital, everything went fine after an hour adn 30 minutes I went into the recovery room to be with him for like an hour and it was amazing how as soon as he heard my voice he stopped crying and went back to sleep, it was pretty scary and I was so worried the whole time but I am grateful that he is doing ok. We went back to the doctor’s yesterday for a check up and he is totally recovered and as active as usual.
Also I want to mention that I was called the RS president, wow! I have a challenge.

Easter fun!

We had lots of fun yesterday, we got together at my borther´s we had a BBQ and the kids waited untill everybody finished eating to start with the egg hunt it felt like a punishment for them having to wait that long finally we got the kids on the back yard and we hid the eggs it took us more time to hide them than it take for the kids to find, all had a lot of fun both kids and grown ups and I am so looking fwd for our next family get together and also for next easter.

I helped Nachito on his search but let me tell you that I forgot his basket so his cousin lend him her´s he looked cute on yellow and pink.

Last Saturday we were playing with the kids outside they surely enjoyed it we have to be out at this time because later it gets too hot to play outside, so here are some pictures of them.

Good bye long curls

I love Fernando´s smile, he is 9 months and all active,he has a total of 4 teeth and counting oh and he eats Pretty well!!

Nachito had a hair cut last week I love it he looks guapo! but we will let his curls grow again what do you think?

He´s been pretty hyper lately and so I have to be checking on him every 5 minutes, last Tuesday he had several things done on his teeth and the Dr. had to use general anesthesia I was a little worried but everything went just fine, they told us that he might feel pain for couple of days but no!!! he was active as usual and eating well the next morning.

I don´t feel proud of this but it´s his first big travesura!!

He came into mom & dad´s room all covered in powder I was taking a nap that I don´t usually do but since I had 3 hrs of sleep the night before I needed it, we went into his room and this is what we found.

Here he is in time out, I wanted to laugh but I had to save that for later.

This is the bed it took us a few hrs to leave everything clean.

I guess he is starting to do big boys travesuras!! but I still love him :)

I hope you had a great valentine´s, I´ve mentioned before that I like how my boys get along and as Fernando grows up it gets better, when they take naps at different times Fernando gets all growchy because Nachito is not there to play with him and gets all happy when he sees that his brother is awake.
Fernando has 2 teeth now and the 3rd is almost there so he can chew pretty good now.
Here you can see my happy boys and also Fernando´s teeth.

Fernando keeps stealing food or candy from his brother he is not supposed to be having that but he took it from Nachito.

This is Dr. Nachito couple of days ago my n´laws came and he as usual was playing with his Bolito (grandpa) so he told him to give him his jacket and then took his glasses and said: "I am Dr. Bolito" I just thougt he looked so cute (grandpa is a medical doctor just in case you didn´t know).

Fernando and dad I like how he gets all commfy with daddy.

And this is us the day before valentine´s day we dont like to go out on the 14th it´s just too crowded everywere so we went on a date the day before and after having two sick boys (yes the were sick again) it was nice to have dinner with my husband the fun part is that on our way home we stopped for some groceries I just thought that life changes doesn´t it?

Last friday after dad came from work by some reason we ended up all in bed playing and having a lot of fun, it´s one of those moments you enjoy and stay forever, many people tell me to enjoy my kids while they are little because they grow fast, and I know they grow fast I just can´t imagine them not wanting to be with us.

On Saturday we wen to a chinesse restaurant to celebrate Nacho´s mom B-day and the governor (white shirt) got to the restaurant and congratulated my mom n´law

This morning I was still laying on bed and I heard a toy fall down and made a lot of noise so I went into the boys room and I found Fernando standing on his crib throwing the toys his brother gave him to the floor I guess we have to lower the mattress or else he will soon jump out of it.
This is the first time I see him standing, he is 7 months 3 weeks.

Yesterday I had such a hard day with Nachito he had a lot of tantrums for all the reasons you can imagine, it seems that this morning he woke up all happy.

Yesterday Nachito asked for some crackers and I gave him a bag when I came to check on them I saw Fernando with most of the crackers, he eats a lot anything he can grab.

The first tooth

Yesterday morning while I was feeding Fernando I noticed a tooth in his gum so I checked and yeap he finally has his first tooth his gum was swollen for like 2 months and the last 3 or 4 nights he just didn’t sleep well at all so I am glad it finally happened, last night he did better, he is 7 months and time is going by fast!
Yesterday also I did some research on kinder gardens for Nachito he will start school on September so I am still looking for options haven’t decided which one yet, I asked him if he wants to go to school and he says NO! I want to go to grandpa’s school I guess he sees grandpas house as a fun school.

Our holidays!

We had a great Christmas and a good new year’s get together at our home, on Christmas eve we went to my parent’s house for dinner (super good as usual) the whole family (4 sibilings and families and my cousin and Fam) was there and with 11 kids around it was a lot of fun after the talent show from the grandkids we opened presents, Nachito got to open his brother’s so he got to open a lot, after that we came to our house and met with the Fong´s to open presents and have dessert I was surprised that Nachito and Fernando stayed up ´till 11 p.m. I guess they were excited about the presents what else get kids excited at that age. We asked Nachito what he wanted Santa to get for him and he said clothes!!! we were surprised and he did get very excited with all the clothes he got, have you seen a kid that gets more excited with clothes than toys? Because I haven’t, he also got movies, Mickey’s play house, a race track and many more toys; we started a tradition this year to give away half of the old toys so we will try to keep doing that.
For New Year we got together at our house it was great I always wanted to have either Christmas or New Year´s at my house so finay this year happened, my parents went out of town for New Year so that´s why it was possible, we had a yummy dinner every family brought a dish or two and the light of the party are always the kids.

This are Nachito and Valeria they are 3 months apart and they get along very well they started dancing as soon as they heard the music.

We want to wish you a Merry Christmas and the best for the year to come, enjoy your festivities and specially don´t forget the true meaning of this celebrations, the birth of Jesus Christ.
We had a great year specialy because we had a new member in our family, our little Fernando came to complement our family and brougth even more joy and happiness, also this year I quit my job and even when I miss it somedays I know I have the most important job of my life to be the mom of two beautiful boys and a wife to and awsome husband, what else can I ask for.

Yesterday I went to do my last Christmas shopping it´s fun to see everyone all excited for the holiday I just don´t like the long lines to pay at the stores but I think I am all ready so I don´t have to go back, I went with my sister so we had fun together.

I was geting the boys dressed and I thought they looked very cute so I took some pictures of them. This is Little Fernando he is 6 months old and he is starting to crawl and also to sit as you can see in the picture he sometimes fall on while sitting he hasn´t master that siting thing.
Sebastian Nachito is 2 years and 6 months old and he is a smart kid he can count up to 20 knows the vowels, shapes and colors I guess TV can be educational because he learned most of this stuff on TV he loves Mickey Mouse and right now he is into movies specially the Shrek and Mickey´s play house so I know the dialogs in those movies now.

I mentioned before that my boys are very loving brothers and I hope this lasts forever I love my brothers and sister and it´s great when we get all thogether with our own kids I hope we can pass that teaching our parents gave us to stay close.

Sick boys

On monday both boys took a bath but Nachito ran with no clothes arround the house so by the time I got a hold of him and put a towel I just knew he was going to get sick, he has asthma like mom so a cold for him is not just a simple cold and yeap yesterday I had to take him to the doctor and gave him medication I am glad he likes to take his medicine because it makes it much easier, it was quite an experience for me yesterday usually Nacho and I take the kids to the doctor I think this is the second time that I go by my self and since I am not used to go out alone with the boys yerterday they just did not behave at all plus they were not feeling well, Fernando was crying the whole time and Nachito did´t want the doctor to come close to him which is very strange he knows her pretty well so to make this story short I arrived and left with two boys crying non stop, as soon as they got in the car they fell asleep so I went for a drive to realx while they were sleeping.

And he also loves to watch TV with his brother so when he wakes up and Nachito is already watching he picks through the bars just so he can see.

This is Nachito with his favorite toys (tools) he goes arround the house trying to fix anything he sees.

Two cute brothers I´ve mention before that Nachito is very loving to his little brother they play thogether all the time and Nachito loves to make his brother laugh.

When they wake up in the morning and come to my bed after dad goes to work it´s just fun to see how they play with eachother, Fernando rolls and is trying to crawl.

A pumpkin, Superman and Batman

At the end of August we bought the costumes for the kids a superman one for Nachito and a pumpkin for Fernando but Nachito grew a lot I guess because on Halloween day we try putting on his costume and oh surprise it didn´t fit so dad had to run to the store and get him a new one so he was Batman instead, that day the boys were not fully recovered earlier that week they had the cold and all the symptoms that come with it, they were felling a little better so we went to my niece´s B-Day party it was fun to see all the kids dressed up, last year Nachito was little so he didn´t care much about Halloween but this year he sure enjoyed it, we didn´t go trick or treating I wanted to take them to the mall but that morning was Nacho´s mom retirement ceremony so we did´t have time, I guess next year.

And this is the only picture I got of the boys dressed up they had a bouncing thing and Nachito had a little accident with his costume and Fernando di´dn´t want the hat so I will dress them again just for the picture.

Yesterday was my 30Th B-Day and my hubby had a party for me I just knew he was preparing something but I did´t know how well, he had a lot of details that you don´t think a guy can realize, if you know me well you will know that pink is my favorite color so I had a pink party he took care of little details such as table cloths, flowers, cake and even balloons I just loved it he is cute and I love him for the kind of person he is.

This is me with my jummy Oreo cake and I loved the detail of the candles.

No doubt this is the best B-Day gift I can get, I tell my friends that I am the queen of the house but many say I am Cinderella instead ;)

My family came and two of my good friends I missed my very best friend Samantha.

The kids had fun too specially breaking the piñata, Nachito keeps thinking that he is having a lot of B-Day parties.
Thanks Nacho for the party you preapared for me I did enjoy it a lot oh! and thanks for my present too.

Baseball

Last Saturday we went to a baseball game with my hubby´s cousins and my sister n´law we had a blast after the game we all came to our home for snacks and to continue with the party, I am looking forward to the Caribbean series since they will be here in Mexicali on 2009, we didn´t take the kids so I think it counts as a group date :), also the guy making the shots for the screen was Nacho´s cousin so we got to be in the big screen a LOT!

On Monday 13th was my hubby´s 30th B-Day we had couple of surpises for him, on Sunday his parents had a surprise BBQ and all the family and some friends were there to celebrate and on Monday we got together at our home for cake and snaks, he had some presents and Nachito had fun helping dad open presents hit the piñata and blow the candles, my husband´s favorite present was the steering wheel I got him, he´s been rebuilding a mustang I tell him that´s a baby of his own, he loves mustangs and his very favorite is the ´65 fast back mustang, well when he graduated from the university since he was the top student of his class and went to get an award from the Mexican President his parents got him one but it was just a piece of junk so he´s been working on it for 6 years now and he´s done a really good job.

Here´s a picture of his baby, he likes to spend some time on it and takes care of it as if it was his own child.
This is how it looked at first, so you can tell he´s put a lot of effort into it.

Couple of days ago Fernando was crying in bed while I was preparing his bottle then he stopped crying so I came into the room again with the bottle ready and I saw Nachito showing his brother toys and singing the lazy town song (his favorite show) to him I just thought that was the cutest thing I as mom can see with my kids that they help each other Nachito is so loving to his brother that I can look at them for hours play even when Fernando is only 3 months 3 weeks old they get along pretty good Nachito likes to see his brother laugh so he does silly things for Fernando to laugh, I am just a happy and proud mom of this two beautiful boys.

Aren’t they the cutest brothers, when Fernando was born I was worried that Nachito would get jealous and aggressive with him but totally the opposite, until now :)

Shopping alone!!!

Since I met my husband because we enjoy so much from eachothers company we pretty much go everywhere together work, movies, dinner, parties and shopping that is one of the things I LOVE to do so I was and still am glad he likes to go shopping too so today I had to go as every week across the border for my groceries, diapers etc. usually my husband and I go together but my sister in-law volunteered to watch the kids today so I decided to go in the morning instead of waiting for my husband to get off work so it worked perfect because I only waited in line like 10 mins (usually it takes me around 1 hr) and since I had plenty of time I decided to go and visit some stores, and old navy was just opened last week next to the mall so I went but the thing was that I was going on my own I felt kind of lonely but I sure did enjoy my shopping alone!

I love my kids they are so much fun! but to go out with the two of them is quite and experience and I don’t get much done, they are growing and I hope they enjoy shopping like mom and dad!

Summer is almost over!

It´s been a while! but here are some pictures of the family, I am glad summer is almost over because here in Mexicali the summer get´s really hot it makes it hard to go and do some outdoor stuff I guess Nachito will be the happiest when the weather starts to cool off a little he loves to play outside so I guess in a couple of weeks we will start getting on the 90´s I hope.
I´ve been enjoying reading some e mails from friends that I haven seen or heard from them in a long time, it´s fun to see that most of the people from the same age (school, mission, etc) are right now in the same stage of life most of us enjoying spouses and children.

Ok so this is Fernando he will be 3 months on the 8th and he is definetly growing, he´s been such a good boy he sleeps 8 hrs in the night so that's great for me, couple of days ago he was sucking on his hand really hard so we checked his gums and yes he has 2 teeth coming he is little but my oldes had his first tooth when he was 4 months so I guess it will be the same with Fernando.

Nachito has been really good to his brother he is always kissing him and is very soft when he touches him so I´m glad, for the last week Nachito wants to wear that elmo pj´s as soon as it gets dark he will ask for them and if I put some other one he will cry and cry ´till he gets that one so this weekend I will look for another one just like that one so I don´t have to be washing it every day.

Last sunday I had a talk on church and during the whole week I was preparing for it and was excited to get to church, so we got ready and made sure we would be there on time, I was the last one to talk so I had to wait and while waiting both boys started to cry and just not behaving well at all so by the time its my turn to get up and talk one sister helped my husband with the little one but Nachito started to cry at loud!!!! kept saying I want my mom! my husband took him out but I just couldn´t concentrate, when Nachito calmed down they came in the room again and he runed towards me finally my husband got him out and I finished my talk it was quite and experience!!! since the baby was born he´s been more attached to me I guess is normal :) and hope it will go away soon.

Yesterday we had some pictures taken and we went trough ir fast in 30 mins we were out, this was our second appointment so I am glad it went well, I will publish those pictures later.

Yesterday was our first time staying the three hours at church since Fernando was born it went ok but since Nachito didn´t go to primary for weeks we had a hard time he didn´t want to stay hopefully next week it will get better.
Today I have my two nephews here my mom went to my cousin´s farewell in California so they will stay here just for five hours lets see how it goes.

My big boy it's really becoming a big boy!!, he is insisting in dressing up himself he puts on his shoes and this is the first time putting on his shorts he hasn't been able to do his shirt yet but it's coming, he just need to go to the bathroom himself I am having a hard time with this he is still little jus two but sometimes he will surprise me with that I guess with some more time he will!

Today was a hard day the two boys were crying for no reason (I guess there was a reason but I just didn't know what was) for like hours finally they both took a nap and their mood changed, sometimes I wonder how did my mom did it with 4 kids just 2 years a part or how do people with more than 1 do it I guess with a lot of patience : ).

It will be almost 2 months since I quit my job and it's been great!! My boys are fun (even with days like today), sometimes I miss work but it is totally worth it to be home with them.

I am a stay home mom!!

On monday I went back to work but this time to quit!! we planned this since our 1st boy was born and I finally did it, I have been enjoying my boys it is amazing how fast they grow and the cute little things they do everyday I am glad I can be home with them so I don't miss anything.
